Voice and Text Coach

Lydia Mackay is terribly excited to be serving as the Voice & Text coach for the Trinity Shakespeare Festival. She received her BFA with an emphasis in acting from Texas Wesleyan University, and holds an MFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University. Lydia has been seen on stage at Stage West, Theatre Three, The Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, WaterTower Theatre, Shakespeare Dallas, Casa Manãna, Dallas Theatre Center, Our Endeavors Theatre Collective, Echo Theatre, Wingspan Theatre Co., Risk Theatre Initiative, Ground Zero Theatre Co., Bucket Productions, Beardsley-Living Theatre, Hip Pocket Theatre, Fort Worth Theatre, Core Performance Manufactory, the Rattlestick Theatre (NYC) and the MoonWater Theatre Company of Fort Worth, where she was a company member for 3 years.  She taught acting classes at Casa Manãna for 2 years; and at Theatre Arlington, where she’s taught and directed the summer workshop shows for the last 8 years. Lydia’s voice-over credits include Lady Caterina Sforza (Trinity Blood), Trisha Elric/Sloth (Full Metal Alchemist), and Sephiria Arks (Black Cat) all for the Cartoon Network.  Other cartoons she has voiced are Blassreiter, Dragonaut, Heroic Age, Darker that Black, Stigma, Aquarion, One Piece, Hell Girl, Soltey Rei, School Rumble, Baki the Grappler, Desert Punk, Dragon Ball Z and Kodocha. Lydia regularly does readings at the Dallas Museum of Art, and will be playing Katherine in the upcoming production of The Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare Dallas.  She is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association and is represented by the Mary Collins Agency of Dallas.
